Beautiful mahogany piano, overstrung, underdamped. Pleyel, arguably the best of all French made pianos and Chopins preferred brand. It left the factory in 1941, as shown in photos and can be seen in the archives: http://archivesmusee.citedelamusique.fr/pleyel/archives.htmlJust one owner since then, and the piano has only ever been moved twice. Has been tuned to concert pitch every 6-12 months throughout its life. Has not been played for 2 years. Has a warm sound and still sounds balanced, but we are not piano experts.
