The special CWOD version can be used with clone wheel organs and synths/plug ins by driving it with a special transformer we have incorporated in the design In actual fact it can be used for any audio application requiring complex overdrive control These are fully hand assembled in Australia and of the highest quality including a real timber front block which is hand finished to match your Hammond organ The case is made from stainless steel and it is CNC laser cut and NC folded then powder coated The graphics are then laser etched and ready for assembly and full testing on a C3 Hammond and Leslie 147 speaker cabinet Countless hours of research and development has gone into these designs and subtleties such as the variations of buzz caused by old V21 drivers has been implemented and though we had designed other variations they would have required a power supply or batteries but we’ve managed without them so it remains fully passive Here’s a note by Kon Zissis who is also the circuit designer and is extremely passionate about Hammonds and tone and infected me over 20 years ago and we’ve been working together since then to produce unique quality products “This new set up simulates a V21 with a buzzy sounding misaligned or warped voice coil whose distortion begins at switchable higher or lower midrange frequencies.
