Rank of Organ Pipes: SWELL OPEN DIAPASON,  8ft

The organ,  rescued in the nick of time from a Derbyshire church that is being renovated internally, is by Albert Keates of Sheffield. Key compass is 58 notes (CC to top G), and wind pressure is presumed to be around 3″. Frankly I had expected the pipes to be run-of-the mill; In fact they are of splendid quality, and in good condition.
The Open Diapason, 58 pipes,  is the one from the Swell organ. Mostly of plain pipe metal, the 8ft bass octave is of wood (all nice condition) and the very largest pipes are mitred at 90 degrees to fit into the swellbox (so probably the overall physical length of these pipes is around 6 feet, instead of the 9ft they would need if not mitred.
The final photo is the bass pipes standing to attention in the back of the swellbox, with some of the 8ft wooden salicional basses sharing the row with them
My details are on the final photo, should you wish to contact me with questions. I have a surplus of pipes at the moment, including quite a few ranks from this organ which are being listed at the moment. Do feel free to call me if you have any requests for pipework.
This rank is too heavy to be sent by carrier, so it is “collection only”. I live 5 minutes from Junction 24, M62, so quite easy to access.Just a footnote: I do get quite a few requests from private contacts outside Ebay. If one of these wants to buy any of my listed ranks of pipes, I would take them off Ebay during a listing and sell them privately. Once a bid has been placed however, I will always leave the listing to run its course. The moral of the story? – If you want an item, place a bid on it sooner rather than at the last minute.
