Rank of Organ Pipes: PRINCIPAL, 4ft61-NOTE PRINCIPAL RANK FROM A UNIT EXTENSION ORGAN, on an electric unit chestThe organ, in a Nottingham church, is now surplus to requirements, and is in the process of being dismantled. The Swell division is “straight”, but the Great division comprises 3 ranks, all on individual electric unit chests, and all listed on Ebay now.
The organ was rebuilt about 15 years ago, and this chest is powered by 12v Kimber-Allen Direct Pallet magnets. They appear to be in virtually new condition. There are 49 notes on the main chest, plus a top octave on a little off-note chest (see photos). The small chest is powered by KA chest magnets. All was working well on dismantling.The pipework is in good condition. I think it will be on (about) a standard 3 inches wind pressureThe rank is of pipe metal (probably 90% lead, 10% tin) for its entire length.The initial selling price is based on a sum of 3 for each magnet, plus about 60 for the pipework.Measurements of the chest; Length 64″, Width 7″My details are on the final photo, should you wish to contact me with questions. This rank is too heavy to be sent by carrier, so it is “collection only”. The pipes are at the church in Nottingham.
