Rank of Organ Pipes: WALD FLUTE,
The organ, rescued in the nick of time from a Derbyshire church that is being renovated internally, is by Albert Keates of Sheffield. Key compass is 58 notes (CC to top G), and wind pressure is presumed to be around 3″. Frankly I had expected the pipes to be run-of-the mill; In fact they are of splendid quality, and in good condition.
Full compass Open Wood flute, with bottom octave stopped. Lovely sound. This was the 4ft Flute from the Great Organ.
My details are on the final photo, should you wish to contact me with questions. I have a surplus of pipes at the moment, including quite a few ranks from this organ which are being listed at the moment. Do feel free to call me if you have any requests for pipework.
This rank is ideally for collection only. however, maybe it is (just) compact enough to be sent by carrier, which would probably (in the UK) cost about 25. I live 5 minutes from Junction 24, M62, so quite easy to access.Just a footnote: I do get quite a few requests from private contacts outside Ebay. If one of these wants to buy any of my listed ranks of pipes, I would take them off Ebay during a listing and sell them privately. Once a bid has been placed however, I will always leave the listing to run its course. The moral of the story? – If you want an item, place a bid on it sooner rather than at the last minute.
