Original 1936 antique Art Deco Steck upright piano, by appointment to the Royal Family. Beautiful high quality upright piano is of a rare Art Deco design. Its striking stepped sides, combined with its stunning arced front gives it an overall construction typical of the Art Deco period which makes it a collector’s piece. Finished in a rich golden burl Walnut veneer which boasts a striking patina and wonderful heavy figuring that is complimented by a 3 inch band of Rosewood running its length and sides of its base, with a second inch band inlaid into the outside Key lid. Its serial number is stamped inside the top lid, as are the Royal Coat of Arms, the date of manufacture and the Brass maker’s mark. Slightly shorter in height than traditional upright pianos.
It’s in superb condition but hasn’t been tuned for a couple of years. With all its 50 ivory keys and 35 ebony keys un-chipped and in perfect working order.Approx. measurements:Height = 40″Length = 54″ Depth = 20″ Please don’t hesitate if you have any questions.
