This is an extremely Rare ‘Hammond M44’ console organ adopting a similar keyboard format to the new Hammond A162 but housed in an Art Deco design cabinet and finished in Piano Gloss Black. No longer manufactured, the price for one of this model was around 16,000.00
Although a late model, Hammond only made a few of these and a lot of Hammond enthusiasts are unaware of it’s existence. (Demos of the M44 on U tube are mostly filmed in Sweden)
This particular model is the ‘Exceed’ which has an upgrade, manufactured by ‘Hammond Zone’ which incorporates a Ketron XD3 MIDI arranger built into the cabinet, with connections made using the internal sockets available on the keyboards and saving the requirement to provide additional wiring.Hammond Zone deliberately did this so that the modification could be removed and reverted back to the original M44 if required.
This organ incorporates:-
1 x XK31 x XLK31 x Built in Hammond13 note pedal board.1 x Hammond expression pedal with switch1 x 50W x 50W built in stereo amplifier and speakers1 x Ketron XD3 arranger with disk drive1 x Art Deco style organ cabinet finished in Piano Black gloss 1 x Matching organ bench 1 x 11 pin socket to accommodate an external Leslie speaker This model has been called the Ultimate console organ and ironically the Hammond M44 has a suffix to its model name which is ‘Ultimo’.
The organ comes complete with all manuals and music rack.
