This is a Roland Atelier AT60SL, sometimes referred to as an AT60S Luxury organ. The AT60SL has a 56 note upper keyboard, a 76 note lower keyboard, a 20 note pedalboard, and has 295 main voices available, along with an excellent accompaniment system that includes a wide range of rhythms and backings, and more rhythms can be loaded. A colour touchscreen makes it quick and easy to select sounds and settings.

When Roland launched this model, they said “Designed around the same basic concept as all Atelier organs fabulous traditional organ sound, exciting real-time performance options, and effortless compatibility with all other AT-Series models the new upgraded AT-SL Series is a true landmark from Roland.”
“The AT-SL Series offers a rich variety of stunning jazz organ, pipe organ, and especially theater organ sounds that are better and more powerful than ever.”
“One of the greatest features on the AT-SL Series is the wide range of rhythms* and musical genres it puts at your fingertips.”
“The new and enhanced Music Assistant, now with an easy-to-use search feature, puts more performance options in your hands. From a vastcollection of the world’s best-loved songs, simply select the keyword that most closely suggests the character of the song you want to play the Music Assistant instantly selects the optimum rhythm pattern, voice for the melody, and other panel settings.

The AT60SL is the smaller cousin to the AT80SL, with a very similar console but a reduced range of sounds and rhythms. However it still has a very comprehensive selection. If you want the AT80SL, there is one on eBay at the moment for around 2500, so this is an opportunity to get a similar instrument but at a vastly cheaper price, making this AT60SL really great value.
My AT60SL is in very good condition, and everything is fully working, including the floppy disk drive. However there are some small marks in the console in various places. On the very top of the organ, to the left of the music stand there are some marks in the varnish, and there is also a tiny chip in the wood under the lower keyboard, which can be seen in the photos. There are other marks in various places which can’t easily be seen. These do not distract from the lovely sound made by this instrument of course, and overall the console is still in decent condition.
The Roland supplied bench, with hinged lid for music storage, and original user guides are included in the auction.
You can find many videos of Atelier organs on YouTube. However it is probably worthwhile watching the following YouTube links of me playing this organ. I am not a professional and there are plenty of mistakes, but my videos do let you hear how you could sound if you bought this instrument. All videos are short excerpts of tunes.
The Shadow of your smile This was played using a built-in accompaniment style, playing tune and chords from memory, but sadly I clearly couldn’t remember the correct chords…  Unchained Melody Another song played using a built-in accompaniment, including the auto introduction and ending. The sounds used were setup using a built-in quick registration.
Swing Shepherd Blues This song uses a built in rhythm but no auto accompaniment. I have create a few registrations which I have assigned to some of the preset buttons available between the two keyboards.
Woodland Flowers This piece is played using one of the built in “Quick Registrations”. Select the appropriate registration from the touch screen, and everything is set up for you. In this case, I changed the rhythm to something better suited to the piece. I used a foot operated switch to insert a drum fill at one point, although I pressed the wrong foot switch first, and ended up getting the break one bar later than intended.
Morning has broken This piece is played using a selection of the built in classical organ sounds
Moonlight This video demonstrates the versatility of having a 76 note, touch sensitive lower manual. There is also a piano type damper pedal to the right of the 20 note pedalboard.
The organ very easily splits in to two pieces for transport. There are two bundles of cables that connect the top and bottom half, and are shown in the bottom right of the group of four pictures. These are disconnected, then two large handscrews are removed, one each side of the organ, under the keyboards. Then the whole top slides back about an inch, then can be lifted off and moved separately to the base.
Although the console is large and heavy, once separated it fits into a Honda CRV, as an example, for transportation. However if you have access to a suitable van, it would be easier to move as you would not need to split the cabinet.
Due to the type of item, you would need to collect this from us. However this gives you the opportunity to see and play it before collecting, to assure yourself that it does work and play perfectly. I will show you how to disassemble the organ, and help carry it to your vehicle.
Cash at time of collection is preferred.
If you have questions about my AT60SL, I’d be happy to answer.
