Roland VK-7 Clonewheel Organ with gig bag and power lead.I am selling it as my Korg Kronos has a built-in CX-3 clonewheel organ and this one is not being used much. It is perfectly usable but, as I am an honest seller, I must mention these three issues:1. it needs a new backlight; these are available on eBay for a few pounds (try user ‘elpanelandtape’). The backlight is still readable on its maximum setting and in good lighting conditions but it is very dark.2. The overall reverb return knob doesn’t work but as it is (somewhat fortunately) stuck on a non-zero value, the reverb send level can still be adjusted in the program itself. Or you can use an external effects unit; my mixer has built-in effects so this was never a problem.3. The overall volume control knob for non-organ, so-called ‘orchestral’ voices (NOT the overall volume knob for the whole keyboard – that one is fine) doesn’t work but the level can be adjusted within the programs. Furthermore, why would anybody want to use those sh*tt* sounds on a dedicated clonewheel organ anyway?!I think issues 2 and 3 could be fixed by replacing the part known as ‘panel assembly B’; they occasionally come up on eBay – I recently missed out on one for about 40.All keys and other buttons and knobs work as they should so this keyboard is perfectly usable as an organ in live situations or in the studio. The wooden end panels have a few minor dents and scratches but the rest is in great condition. This keyboard does NOT suffer from the pink glue issue associated with Roland keyboards of that era, whereby the glue used to attach the weights to the underside of the keys melts into the inside of the keyboard, causing it to malfunction and causing the weights to come off. All weights are still well attached to the keys. These machines usually sell for 450+ and this one is priced accordingly. It is available for collection only on most evenings and weekends from Kensworth, about 10 minutes from Jctn 9 of the M1. I am happy to deliver it within 20 miles (weekends only) but I will not post it. Cash on collection OK.Any questions? Please feel free to ask; I usually reply quickly.
