So here is my Roland XP-80 which has, over the past 15 years, played in most of the biggest theatres and arenas in the country. It is now looking a bit sad, so is being sold for spares or repair. I will be as honest as I can about what is wrong with it:
5 of the keys don’t work (one has snapped but can be glued), which I assume is the contact pads
The display only half works, due to a roadie dropping something heavy on it
Some of the buttons don’t work, but I do have spares if you want them and are good at soldering to PCBs
The casing is very scuffed
One of the keys snapped and I glued it together
You can buy the custom-made displays from various sites, which just replaces the one damaged
You can also buy the keys from various sites
Other than that, it all works fine, and is still one of the finest workstations ever made by any company
Please note that, in the pictures, the floppy drive isn’t there. I will put it back in (I was using it for something else)
The stand is not part of the auction. The items for sale are the keyboard, instruction manual, and power lead
This is a 5 day auction as I am away from next weekend and won’t be able to courier/be here to have it collected
