It is in very good condition throughout, and made to a high standard. It dates from abut 1970, and has spent the last 30 + years sitting in the corner of a room. Rather rare in the western world…PERFECT FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS CAROL GIG!
There are two rows of reeds: the rear row is quite soft and mellow, but, when the left hand stop is used a swell opens and the winding increases and it is loud and strident.
The other row is a celeste set to be used in combination, operated by the right hand stop lever. There is a door at the back to access the rear reeds, and one at the front to access the others.
There are a few minor scrapes which in no way detract from the appearance. It is easily portable and tuned to modern pitch: it is very well made, and, being much younger than most English ones. has years of use left in it. It will easily fit in any small hatchback car.
Cash on collection preferred: you can then inspect it and make sure you are happy with it! It has been re-listed because the previous buyer did not turn up!
