Square Piano by John Broadwood & Sons, No.20669 circa.1815
For sale is this antique square piano by one of the most famous of piano makers, John Broadwood & Sons of London. This piano has the serial number 20669, which dates it to around 1815.
The piano has a compass of 5 & 1/2 octaves (FF – f) and is tuned to a=415. It is in full playing order, but there is some cosmetic damage to the case which can be seen in the photographs.This piano would be an ideal introduction for anyone interested in owning a period instrument and experiencing the sound world of the era of Jane Austen and the Regency.
