Steinway piano, made in 1910, according to its serial number. This piano used to be a pianola, and has had the player mechanism professionally removed. It is in very good condition. The action was professionally overhauled in 2006, to include new tapes and refaced hammers, springs and felts. I have checked the piano over extensively, and the soundboard and bridges are all in good condition, no cracks or splits. The piano has been tuned to concert pitch. The tuning plank is nice and tight, so it will hold its tune well. It plays and sounds exactly how you would expect from a Steinway too!
It has 88 original keys, that are in good condition with no chips.
Cosmetically, the casework is in good condition. It is in a Rosewood case, and is a nice piece of furniture.
There are a few cosmetic marks here and there, but no nasty scratches or veneer lifting. It would benefit from repolishing to make it look really good.
This is basically a model K Steinway, just slightly deeper because it was originally a player piano.
This is a big imposing piano, with a big imposing sound! Dimensions are 161cm long, 135cm high, 78cm deep.
This is a great opportunity to own a Steinway piano at an affordable price!
Buyer is responsible for collection, but access at this end is very easy, with no steps, and I can assist this end, but be warned, come with a big van and at least a couple of people, this piano is heavy!
Alternatively, I can recommend a good piano removal company!
