Steinway model ‘A’ grand piano in period ebonised case with good ivory keyboard all in excellent condition. The serial number of 49239 dates the piano to 1882
This model was known as a ‘parlor’ grand, the smallest size made by Steinway and scaled down from the 7′ model B by C F Theodore Steinway in 1878. The piano has many of the modern Steinway features such as continuous curved rim, duplex scale, treble capo bar, substantial overstrung iron frame and repetition action with tubular brass rails.
