This is a Steinway and Sons model A grand piano, made in New York in approximately 1898.
The piano is in a rosewood case.
We are selling this piano on behalf of a client. All reasonable offers will be considered.
The piano hadn’t been played for some years and we believe it went through a process of restoration around 1970.
The piano has been cleaned and serviced while on my premises. it has been tuned twice and is tuned to A440 concert pitch.
It plays beautifully with an excellent tone and holds good tune.
The piano is quite enjoyable just as it is. We have assured it requires no significant work for many years.
As is the culture for vintage and antique Steinway pianos, I have established some detailed quotes for its full restoration to new condition. I am happy to discuss this, and offer various options. Obviously in doing this you will be significantly enhancing the value of the piano, making it a sincere investment for now and the future.
