Antique Erard Grand Piano, in rosewood, originally sold by Harrods in the late 1800s. Casework in excellent condition, acoustic work needs some attention.
Sebstain Erard was a French instrument maker who specialised in the production of harps and pianos. One of many Erard innovations, found on many modern pianos, he was the first piano maker to include pedals on his instruments. Famous for their tone, Erard established himself as a maker of instruments for the French and English aristocracies, and many famous musicians favoured an Erard for their work, including Chopin, Mendelssohn, Wagner, Beethoven, Faure and others. Some Erard instruments sell for many hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Whilst a more modest Erard grand piano, and one requiring some work to bring it back to its former glory. this beautiful piece can be your pride and joy and become the centrepiece of your music world. It’s awaiting a new loving home.
I’m afraid this piano is collection only, and would recommend specialist piano movers to do this job. The expected cost of moving the piano is in the region of 350.
