Sweetland Antique Church Pipe Organ . Condition is Used.
Original Builder: William Sweetland – built in 1888
(The National Pipe Organ Register says “Sweetman” but the Organ Plate sais Sweetland).
Sweetland was one of the best provincialbuilders of small to medium sized organs – about 300 in all, many in MethodistChapels. The firm was based in Bath and most of his organs are in the West ofEngland. I’ve always thought it had some jolly nice pipework – or itwould be if it was properly tuned!
