Welcome to this auction for my Technics SX-G100 Theatre Organ
This top-of-the-range digital instrument produces the very best combination of Theatre Organ, Classical Pipe Organ and Electronic sounds in this form factor. It is still regarded as the ultimate organ to own by many players.
The SX-G100 is an instrument which gives you the best of all possible worlds. With a few simple buttons you can change the instrument from a lively theatre organ (complete with a full range of Tibias on individual illuminated stop tabs, plus theatre organ ranks like Kinura, Clarinet and Vox Humana) to a classical church organ, to a Hammond (with on-screen draw-bars activated by the tab stops) to a rather lovely touch-sensitive grand piano – and a whole orchestra of other instruments and voices.
Equipped as you would expect with many “one-touch” features, it is suitable for beginners and experts alike – a complete rhythm and accompaniment section lets you command a big band or classical orchestra on a single note, or produce complex harmonies to play along with you using fully fingered chords. Built-in arranger libraries can make recommendations for combinations of rhythms and sounds, or even complete sets of organ registrations.
The speaker system has a warm, clear and precise tone – with substantial amplification and a sub-woofer for those times when you want the bass pedals to shake the room (or hall!).
In selecting this instrument, I am fortunate enough to have had access to a genuine “Mighty Wurlitzer” theatre pipe organ, and have been able to compare the likes of Roland, Yamaha, Wersi, Lowry and more in choosing what I felt (though it is subjective) to be the most faithful match to the real thing.
While this organ can be very simple to use with “one button” operation, it is a sophisticated modern device with full MIDI capability (it has been proven to work very well with Hauptwerk), digital reverb and effects, and lots of parameters to tweak if you wish, from the speed and depth of Tremulants to the voicing of the individual samples.
All my auctions are genuine, with no reserve. You will need a large van, ideally with a tail lift, and at least 2 strong guys to load/unload it; though I can help too at my end.
