This three manual keyboard stack was removed from an organ believed to have been built by Gray & Davison in about 1870. The keyboards appear to have been renovated when the organ was removed to Horton Chapel, Epsom, in about 1902.
The keyboards – which have mahogany frames – have been restored and MIDIfied by the seller. They have been built into a matching case, preserving part of an historic organ and making a unit which would look good in any home VPO.
This is not just a set of keyboards pulled from an old organ. All the necessary work has been done to convert the keyboards to play with MIDI based software such as Hauptwerk. Just connect the stack’s MIDI OUT socket to your Hauptwerk setup and play.
A report of the restoration and conversion can be viewed on my website. Just google ‘Greg Lewin Organ Projects Horton’.
