Used Steinway Model A or B Grand Piano Renner Hammers Shanks Rollers/Knuckles Set Off/Let Off Buttons and Screws.
A very good set of Renner hammers and shanks. There is plenty of felt on the hammers as they were not over played. The hammer shank centres are good and the rollers/knuckles not worn. A couple of the hammers, there is a hint of some separation in the felt on the sides, it has not affected the sound. Please refer the photos.This set of hammers had a “full bodied, rich musical sound, not too strident or metallic”.Also included are the hammer flange screws, the hammer flange rail brading/tape, the set off/let off buttons and screws.
Please note: Steinway model A or B grands have 20 bass hammers and 68 steel string hammers. Additional note: The action frame is not part of this sale. The rails are splitting and therefore it is not useable.
