Vintage 1960s Selmer Pianotron Electric PianoFantastic electro-mechanical piano dating from around 1964-65, very similar to the Hohner Cembalet (the keys pluck metal reeds to create the sound). The piano plugs directly into an amp, and just requires a 9v battery.Specs as per the attached page from the original catalogue.Compared to the Wurlitzer, Rhodes and Hohner Pianet, this is one of the best value ‘real’ electric pianos you can get.As used by OMD, Joe Meek, Them, The Lancashire Hustlers etc

Condition:All keys work and produce sound as they should.The 3 knobs on the left hand side (Tone, Vibrato and Vibrato speed) do not seem to do much, although I believe that’s common with this piano.
The original legs are missing, also the knee volume control bar which attaches underneath – this just means the volume is at a constant level.
Cosmetically the piano is in good condition, with some areas of wear and tear on the black surround.
Collection only from Stratford, London E15 1PD, evenings and weekends. If you want to send a taxi to collect it, that’s fine.I’m afraid I can’t send by courier as I cannot take a day off work to wait at home for a courier to arrive.Any questions, please ask.
