Vintage “Palace Organ” manufactured by Loring and Blake – American Reed Pump Organ.
Made in Massachusetts in 1898 it has 11 stops, knee swells/couplers and is in full working order.
Height 47 1/2 “, Width 46 ” , Depth 22 ” overall sizes.
American organs operated differently to Harmoniums in that air is drawn through the reeds via a vacuum which results in a more mellow tone than that of the Harmonium where air is blown through the reeds.
The lid is lockable with its key and built in rollers assist with movement of the organ.
Condition is used, there are some small areas of varnish loss to the top.
I have owned and loved this organ for over forty years but now a lack of space dictates that a new loving home must be found.
