William Whiteley small Upright Piano . Condition is Used and in need of restoration..
William Whiteley’s were not piano manufacturers. It was a department store opened in 1863 in Westbourne Grove, Bayswater London. In 1887 the store was destroyed by fire and reopened in Queensway London in 1911. This piano was sold from Westbourne Grove so it must have been bought before 1887.
This was in my wife’s family for three or more generations but has not been played for many years and is in need of restoration. We want it to go to someone who can restore it and give it the dignity it deserves. Collection in person.
