Lovely digital piano, only selling as just purchased one with more features that Ive wanted for a while. there are two notes that are broken. Ive pointed to them in the pictures as I can never remember what youre supposed to call the different octaves. The B flat plays but is louder than the other notes. This just seemed to happen one day! The C also plays but is quieter than the other notes and doesnt always play. Both have been like this for months now and I originally intended to get them fixed and never got round to it and have just gotten used to them! I paid 20 before to have 1 note fixed by an older man whos number I got from the music shop in Truro. He took it away and brought it back a few days later fixed so it really was minimal hassle.
There are also small 3 screws missing from the back at the top which hold the lid on securely. Ive put a small screw that fits in the middle to hold it on for now. No doubt it would be easy to get the right screws, Im just clearly not a handy person who knows anything about screws!
there are also a few black marks on some of the keys to the right which Ive pictured. They seem to be scratches and I cant get them off. I play every few days and only just noticed them because I was taking pictures!
the veneer at the front is very slightly pulled in a few places where I had the stool on a rug which made it too high and I caught the piano pushing it in or pulling it out. Ive taken a picture of this too and as you can see it really isnt noticeable.
I cant see any obvious signs of other marks/dents apart from a few marks on the underside of the piano from being moved but you would never see these when its up.
the top board is also slightly bowed in the middle where the piano books go. My mum also has almost this piano and hers has the same so I think it is just because it is a long strip of wood that over time drops a bit. T affects pulling the lid shut slightly but other than that doesnt seem to cause any problems.
i think Ive mentioned any defects the piano has but I would recommend viewing before purchase anyway. If youre piano savvy, and know about note repairs, youre more than welcome to come and take the top off and see what you could do before purchasing. I tried looking up fixing it myself before but was worried Id end up doing more damage than good. As they work, Im fairly confident its something minor with the hammer action or something as this is often the case and was previously.
the stool isnt included in the sale but if you need one youre welcome to it. It was a bit of a project. It was an old stool that I started to cover with paper then gave up so one side has more than the other. I also never got round to fitting a seat on so at the moment I just put a cushion on top. Really is a bit of a mess hence why Id be giving it for free
This will only be listed for sale in Cornwall for about 3 weeks (roughly close to the end of November) as after that it will be going to Essex where it will be repaired and listed for a higher price. (Please note, it can definitely be replanted in Cornwall, its just that my mum will take it back with her and sell it for me as she drives and I dont so its easier for her) The current price is taking into consideration the cost of repair for the notes and the minor defects it has. Ive had this for a few years now and the second hand price hasnt really gone down so its something that you could keep for years and still get most of your money back on!
