This rare beast is the Yamaha C-605P; I believe it’s the only occasion that Yamaha made one of their home Electone organs in a portable “combo” format. This means that you get all the bells-and-whistles features like the arpeggiator and auto-accompaniments found on the bigger Electone home organs but in a portable setup that can easily be moved around. The design is very impressive; the top half of the case comes off in two sections that then become the stand for the organ. The bass pedals and volume pedal form a separate section that bolts into the stand to give the thing some rigidity (no wobble here!) In terms of the sounds, this has a lot in common with the massively-larger D85 home organ from the same era. It dates from the early 80s when Yamaha were just making the transition from analog to digital; most of the sounds are I believe analog but some sections (like the rhythm section) may be digital. There’s a tremendous variety of sounds you can get though.
I made a video of me playing this a while back, please note that at the time the organ wasn’t for sale so this was meant to be a demonstration of the kind of sounds the organ could produce rather than an eBay sale demo. So it’s played here through an additional amp and a phaser pedal (which aren’t part of the auction, but are cheap enough to acquire if you desperately want this specific sound):

In terms of condition this organ is in very good cosmetic condition, it’s amazing how white all the plastic parts are for something that’s thirty-five years old. There’s a couple of slight tears in the plastic tolex-like finish on the sides (see picture.) In terms of functionality, all the sections are functional, the only thing I would say is that the contacts could do with cleaning as some switches sometimes have to be selected two or three times to register (this only really applies to the ensemble section and I think one or two of the rhythm presets.) But you’re welcome to test it before buying if you want.
