Featuring Yamaha’s excellent ‘NWX’ (Natural Wood X) keyboard the CLP645 represents the first CLP6xx featuring wooden white keys. Synthetic ivory and ebony keytops are still present to give a nice tactile response as well as prevent your fingers slipping after a long period of practice. Escapement is also present, simulating the ‘click’ response of the key when gently played, just as a real grand piano would as the ‘hammer’ is moved away from the string. Key-off samples ensure that when you release the key you’ll be greeted with the same response as with a real grand piano. With a pleasent but discreet LCD on the left panel and a simple to navigate user interface you can select any of the 36 superb built-in sounds, and with 256-note polyphony available you won’t experience note ‘drop off’. Both Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer Imperial piano samples are presented with beautiful quality and ambience plus Yamaha’s ‘Binaural Sampling’ ensures that you will hear the sound exactly as it should be whilst you’re sat playing. Dual and Split modes mean that you can layer any two sounds together or split the keyboard (great for bass on your left hand, piano on your right). There are even 20 rhythm styles built-in so that you can play along with either 8-beat, latin or jazz.

A 16-track sequencer ensures that you can capture your performance and with the inclusion of the USB Audio Recorder you can record directly to your USB Flash drive as a .WAV file for either sharing or editing. Playback of audio files is also supported (.Wav format). ‘Intelligent Acoustic Control’ ensures that the bass and treble response is dynamically adjusted at any volume level so during private practice you’ll still get the best quality sound response. ‘Music Braces’ are fitted and are a great feature to ensure that your music doesn’t fall closed (or fall on the floor!).

Bluetooth is built-in as standard for wireless connection to your Iphone, Ipad, Ipod Touch or Android Device. Simply pair up, and stream your favourite music directly through the piano, then play along!

The Yamaha CLP-645 is available in a variety of finishes to complement any environment including Polished Ebony, Black, Dark Rosewood, Dark Walnut, White Ash and White.

A superb piano in every way possible, the Yamaha CLP645 immediately impresses with its Natural Wood action keyboard and superb Yamaha CFX and Bosendorfer Imperial sounds. The built-in Bluetooth is a great addition to this piano and is childs play to configure. Streaming your favourite song from your device and playing along with it is a great inspirational tool (we used to have you use a tape deck to play along with, remember those?). The 16-Track sequencer is also a great feature enabling you to record complex performances and the USB Audio Recorder captures the full quality of your piano by recording in .Wav (no MP3 format as you’d lose the sound quality – and we don’t want that!).

The CLP645 is equipped with a total of 36 voices including acoustic and electronic pianos, as well as harpsichord, organs, strings, choir, vibes, bass sounds and guitars. These voices can be layered / split across the keyboard, and also used for creating compositions and orchestrations using the on-board 16-track song recorder. Save your compositions as MIDI data, or export to .WAV audio file format to simplify sharing with your friends / family. Audio recording requires a suitable USB memory stick (not supplied).Introducing GrandTouch and ebony keytops The newly developed GrandTouch keys offer more responsive touch and a greater dynamic range than ever before.
