Yamaha Electone 2nd Expression Pedal (Modified)
This is a Yamaha Electone 2nd Expression Pedal (with return-to-centre mechanism designed for Pitch/Tempo control), originally for an EL90 but has been modified:
– The base has been hacked flat (admittedly not that well) and had holes drilled in it from when I mounted it to my HX pedalboard (Yamaha Spares department only had EL90 ones when I bought it over 10 years ago, and these mount differently to HX version).
– I wired up a TRS (stereo) jack, so it could be used with the expression pedal input on my midi keyboards – in midi terms, the value range is 0-127, with 80 being the centre value. I then had to calibrate it in Midi software to do pitchbend.
I have only used this with my Midi rig, so it has NOT been tested for conventional use with an Electone. It is not “plug n play” – you’ll have to wire it up and figure out a way to mount the pedal.
2nd Expression Pedals are rare, so if you are prepared to put some effort in to get it to work with your setup (be it an Electone or a Midi controller/software rig), then it’s a great addition. I’m only selling as I’ve altered my setup and no longer use it.
