1979 Yamaha M5J in Dark Mahogany Gloss

A Yamaha M5J upright piano made in the Yamaha factory in Hamamatsu, Japan in 1979, this is a sought after model no longer made. The C108 combines the finesse of the U Series sleek action and internal materials in a much more compact size, making this an ideal piano for those looking for dependable, lasting quality in a small package, or for those looking for something with a bit more class that a typical starter piano.

Tone and tuning
This piano has a lovely rich and bright tone with great balance between brightness and warmth, and a big dynamic range. Great sounding bass (especially for an instrument of this size) and the treble is wonderfully clear and bell like. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440) prior to sale.
Keyboard and action
The full 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has just been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard.
Hammers and strings
Hardly any wear at all in the hammers – virtually as new. Strings also in excellent, almost as new condition.
Sound board
Excellent condition, no cracks or splits
Case
In very good condition – some minor blemishes here and there, consistent with age but has been well cared for. This is a lovely looking instrument in a dark walnut satin finish and will complement virtually any decor. Matching piano stool with storage included.
Dimensions – 108cm tall x 54 deep x 148 wide (widest point at top lid). A small sized upright that punches way above its weight!
