YAMAHA PSS 680 HOME KEYBOARD/SYNTHESISER
If you’re just a random passer by not totally familiar with this keyboard (which we find hard to imagine but still) you NEED to know that this is one of the finest home keyboards ever made in our humble opinion (and perhaps limited knowledge). Actually the casio HT3000 is possibly better as it has full size keys. But still we digress.
What makes this keyboard rather special is that it includes an amazing array of synth functions, a sequencer (of sorts) AND programmable (to an extent) drums!
Just next to that column of 5 grey buttons (to the right of them in fact) are the 6 synth mode options that give you a huge variety of sound to work with (the grey buttons are 5 banks to store your sounds). First two are attack and decay, then the rest are all to do with making your sound go weird. Apart from the last one which is amplitude. But crikey you can get some incredible FM sounds. From fizzy distorted leads, white noise, slap bass ish things, bell sounds, synth wood bass..wonderful stuff. Years were spent fiddling with these options to much pleasure. Possibly leading to an adult love of the synthesiser. (It’s pictured in this mode above)
The left hand grey buttons give you 5 monophonic realtime sequence storage (just more digitally recording of play rather than true sequencing). Record in up to 5 at a time to get a polyphonic recording. Then to the left of those buttons are the backing chord recordings. These store your recording of backing pattern chords and patterns. The ‘custom drummer’ allows you to tap in your own drum sequence
So anyway yes that’s all by the by and you probably know that but thought you might like to know that your seller knows that too. Possibly.
Condition wise you can see it’s pretty spotless. And obviously coming with original box AND the instructions and the polystyrene AND the inner protective wrapping. Gosh. You don’t get that much.
The box is a bit on the tired end of the scale of conditions and does indeed actually have a small hole on the back.
Not giving away a PSU with it but you can pick one up that works just fine for well under 10 in pretty much any town (Wilko for example we suggest)
