For sale here is a Yamaha RA-50 Keyboard and Guitar Amplifier.

Modeled from the famous Leslie organ speaker, the tweeter in this amplifier takes advantage of the doppler effect to create those now infamous tones, that can be heard across most rock albums throughout the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

This amplifier’s bigger brother was used by David Gilmour between 1971-83, and what better way to recreate that amazing sound in your own home than with the same amplifier at a more reasonable volume level.

We have managed to date this amplifier to around 1973, and this particular amp apparently used to belong to Clint Boon from the Inspirals.

In order to get this amp up to full working condition, we had to replace a paired set of transistors, recap and replace a diode, but she now works beautifully, and is a must have for fans of that full leslie tone.

Due to the lack of the original footswitch, we have had to replace with a new stompbox.

Please note due to weight and age we would prefer not to ship, as it would be costly to do so. However, if you would like us to ship to you, please get in touch for a quote. Also feel free to get in touch with us for any other questions.
