Yamaha RA-50 Rotating Speaker in excellent working condition with original cover. I bought this about 7 years ago and I believe previous to this it was sat in a shop since the late 1970s or so as it was basically unmarked (and the seller mentioned this).
It sounds clean and powerful with a distinct rotating speaker effect different but equally great to the traditional Leslie. Its a scaled down version of the RA-200 used by David Gilmour on Dark Side of the Moon and it’ll get you close to that tone if that’s your thing…sounds great on guitars, organs and anything else.
I’ve used it in a recording studio environment only and I’m pretty sure its never been gigged. The chrome is excellent with only the black vinyl cover showing some signs of wear.
Electronically and mechanically it’s in excellent condition. The power switch may need replacing at some point as sometimes it fails to switch off, in practice this has never been a problem. I’ve also replaced the input jack as it was a little intermittent.
This is a rare item in excellent condition.
