Yamaha U1 H 1976 Modern Upright Piano Professional Level

This is an excellent quality piano that would suit a professional musician, serious amateur or perhaps a very lucky beginner! It has been fully serviced, tuned and regulated and is now ready for its next home, with a lifetime of music to give. The Yamaha U1 is the benchmark modern upright and much sought after for its smooth and responsive action and big and bright sound. This is a very fine example in excellent condition. The H model from the late 70s is particularly loved for its slightly warmer tone.
Tone and tuning
Very big, rich and bright tone, but with no harshness whatsoever, and a great dynamic range. It has just been tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano includes the middle ‘celeste’ pedal for very quiet practising where necessary.
Keyboard and action
Keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated so plays perfectly smoothly across the whole keyboard with a light-medium weight. Very expressive and lovely to play on.
Hammers and strings
Not very much wear in the hammers and strings are in excellent condition too with no rust.
Case
Lovely bright black polyester finish. Apart from a couple of very small marks this piano is in perfect condition. It will look fantastic in a modern or classic styled home. It is on casters, which have been oiled and move well.
Matching black height adjustable stool is included in the sale.
