Made in Japan in 1988, this is an excellent quality piano that would suit beginners up to professional musicians. It has been fully serviced, tuned and regulated and is now ready for its next home, with a lifetime of music to give. The Yamaha U1 is the benchmark modern upright piano with its stunning looks, big bold and bright tone and excellent responsive action. The U10 differs only in that the top lid is in one piece rather than 2.
Tone and tuning
Very big, rich and bright tone, and a great dynamic range. It has just been tuned to concert pitch (A=440). This piano includes the middle ‘celeste’ pedal for very quiet practising where necessary.
Keyboard and action
Keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated so plays smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight. Very expressive and lovely to play on.
Hammers and strings
This piano has been played very little – hardly any wear in the hammers and strings are in excellent condition too – see photos.
Case
Lovely bright black polyester finish case in excellent condition – apart from some very small marks this piano is in as new condition. It will look fantastic in a modern or classic styled home. It is on castors and moves quite easily.
